May 14, continued:
Also fired artillery at 8 A.M. fired 13 rds per gun.  The whole beachhead fired at the same time.

May 15
Fired field Artillery at 5:05 A.M. fired 25 rounds per gun.

May 16
Had a small raid around 10:30.  A couple Jerry planes flew over
the front lines dropping propaganda leaflets.

May 19
Fired 12 rds of P.D. Field Artillery.  The allies are pushing up from Cassino.

May 22
Started firing field artillery at 12 noon.  We’ve been firing at 15 to half hour intervals till Jerry’s out of our range.  500+ bombers flew over.

May 23
At 5 A.M. till around 8 we fired around 150 rds.  50+ B25’s & B17 & 24’s have been flying over since early this morning. The push started this

May 23 continued:
          morning. 
Since Nove. 19, 1942 up to May 1 (1944) we have fired 46,257 rds. of 90 mm ammo.  Battalion has credit for 57 planes, C battery has credit for 20 planes 12 probably.

May 24
Still firing field artillery Jerrys out of our range in the southern section.  We’ve been firing at smarter position, troops & bridges doing pretty good according to observers.
 
May 25
Jerry counter attacked around 10 P.M. we fired over 100 rds. per gun & every 90 on the beachhead fired.  Reports came back that after the 90’s shelled 300+ Jerrys surrendered.

May 26
Had an air raid around 12 midnight.  Jerry droped bombs over the front lines out of our range most of the time.
