Jan. 29 continued:
Got credit for 3 planes.  Total of 5 planes for the day.

Feb. 4
Haven’t had any raids for a few days.  Jerry has been shelling the town & docks during the night.  We can hear the shells whistling over head.

Feb. 5
Had 2 raids this afternoon We were told that the Jerries said, in there own news papers, that the ack ack over Anzio Beach & Nittuna, is the worst they have ever encountered.
We were the only A. A. till the 216 pulled in on Feb. 3.

Feb. 6
Had 2 air raids early this morning one at 3:30 A.M. & another at 5 A.M..  Stayed up till 6:15 A.M. firing at Jerry planes.  Jerry is tricky, she dropped tin foil down to through the 268

And height finder off so when we fire we’ll be firing at the tin foil instead of the Jerry planes.  Saw a plain drop from the sky about 12 noon, today, he dropped from a very great height, smoking all the way down.  What a sight.  No one knows yet what kind of a plain it was.

Feb. 7
Jerry threw over 4 shells & 2 duds around our area at 1 A.M. this morning.  The closest shell was about 25 to 30 feet away.  To close for comfort.  Stayed up from 3:30 to 7 A.M. cause they or everyone expected a tank attack.
Had raid at 8 this morning 15 Jerry planes flew over & bombed the docks.  Raupe section
