Left 6a.m. for Philipiville driving jeep with Lt. Lynch, traveled 260 miles, stoped at Constantine.


June 1
Went 60 miles, stoped at Philipsville.  Had nice time there.  Swam in Med. Sea.

June 2
Hit Bone. 60 more miles

June 3 & 4
Went to Marris picked up 3 guns.  Stayed there 1 day had air raid in Algiers while we were away.

June 5
Left Bone, stoped at Satief

June 6
Arrived at Algiers.
Had a fine trip.  Got dinner one night on a ship with Lt. Lynch and Co. and 2 Navy Lts.

June 23
Jerrie’s observation plane flew over Algiers. Out of Range of the 90 M.

June 24,
Fired at unidentified plane at 5 a.m.  Results from G.O.R. plane flew out to sea.

June 26
Played ball today.  While at game we had an air raid.  German observation flew over, an easy target, but was not hit.  Time around 4 p.m.

July 8
Notice on board that I made Corporal. T5.
We are preparing to leave Algiers for Bazerta.

July 10
11 a.m. Sunday left Algiers Destination unknown.
Saw a lot of torn up tanks and other equipment from Bija to Matsur.  Bija all shot up also Matsur.  Camping out side of Matsur for a few days.

July 18.
Set up our guns, just hanging around.  Saw hill 609 and a lot of German guns and trucks that were captured in Matsur.
