Nov. 21, Continued:
All around us.  We’ve seen a dog fight yesterday & the battery was strafed at the other position, the day before yesterday Friday. No one was hit.  Still muddy & drizzling out.
Dried my shoes near the fire & when I tried to put them on they wouldn’t fit, they shrunk & cracked up.
Sleeping & keeping dry in this cave.  What a set up & it’s a racket. Hope we never get back to the battery.

Nove 22 to 24
Pulled trucks out & went back to battery.  Still raining & muddy as hell.  Fired on friendly plane but didn’t hit it cause found out in time it was friendly.
Shells are going over head from American field artillery & the Germans sent a few

Nov. 22 to 24 continued:
over also. I & many others get a funny feeling when we hear the Jerry shells whistling over head & hitting & exploding far behind us.
Plenty of artillery firing but still the Jerries hold there ground.  Saw a few M.E. 109’s strafing other outfits close by.

Nove. 25
Another thanksgiving over seas.  I hope the next one we’ll be at home with the folks.  Sure miss them.  Having turkey & the trimmings, out in the field while shells are going over head, raining & muddy.  I’m thank full I’m still alive.
Started at 8:30 P.M. firing field artillery fire with 90’s Fired at 30 minutes & 1 hour intervals, ended at 4:45 A.M. morning of 26th of  Nove.  Each gun
