Kay & Slug got married today.
(This is a reference to Kay Sellarole, who is George Sellarole Jr.’s sister, and Carl Padovano, whose nickname was Slugger.  Carl Padovano got the nick name when Kay asked her father, George Sellarole Sr., to come see Carl play in a baseball game when they were in Hackensack High School together. Carl did not have a good day hitting that game, but Kay kept saying how wonderful he had done. In response, her father,
George Sellarole Sr., finally said, “Yes, honey, he is a real slugger," and from that point till the day he past away, the immediate family and close friends would often refer to
Carl Padovano
as ‘Slugger’.)
