Mr. Paladino can be seen listening to a recording from his family. (His family thought he had a desk job in Okinawa) After listening to the tape, the tape and recorder had to be destroyed since all correspondence (written or otherwise) had to be destroyed to keep it from getting into enemy hands, if ever captured as a POW.

Hand grenades that had to be returned to headquarters due to "no delay time" in detonation.
(Normally functioning grenades have a 4-6 second delay before they explode when thrown)

Shade was always MADE in the open because naturally shady areas were sometimes rigged with IED's (Improvised Explosive Devices)-Similar to what is happening in Iraq right now.

Taft was shot in the chest at close range, but (as you can see) survived very well because his flack jacket absorbed the bullet

Lots of little ones around in the various villages always willing to give a back massage or trade items for food or cigarettes

On the Hospital ship USS Sanctuary in the South China Sea to have a severe gum infection taken care of (due to a lack of fresh water to properly care for daily dental needs)

Radio Operator can be seen calling for a chopper to pick up POW's that were captured
