Fredric W. Schwab

United States Marine Corp. World War II

Graduated from Hackensack High School June 1940-College Prep courses-National Honor Society-Treasurer of senior class.

He enlisted in U.S. Marine Corp. on October 6, 1942. Assigned to Marine Corp. base Parris Island, Carolina for basic training. He attended aviation mechanics school and North American Corp. Factory School on maintenance of
B25 Mitchell Medium Bomber. He was assigned to Marine bombing squad VMB433, Third Marine Aircraft Wing stationed at Cherry Point Marine Air Station, North Carolina. He was an aircraft mechanic/flight engineer on Mitchell 25 Medium Bomber.

He served in Asiatic-Pacific Theatre from May 1944 to December 1945. He participated in Solomon Islands, Marshall Islands, and Philippines campaigns. He was discharged at Miramar Marine Corp. Air Station, California on December 14, 1945 with rank of
Technical Sergeant.

He returned to college and graduated with a degree in Aeronautical Engineer May 1948. He retired April 1, 1988.He is now (year 2006) 84 years of age and resides in Hackensack, NJ.
