Vladimir L. Dietrich Grave Marker

This grave marker, which is at Hackensack Cemetery, located at 289 Hackensack Avenue Hackensack, New Jersey reveals that Vladimir L. Dietrich served in the U.S. Army during World War II and died on February 21, 1945 at the age of only 19.

Vladimir L. Dietrich date of death is during the last year of World War II and considering his military service recorded on his grave marker, it would lead one to believe he died during his service and was repatriated or died state side during training and was buried in Hackensack.  I hope to find out more about this veteran’s service.

Vladimir L. Dietrich was not on the Original Wall Unit List, which is in Hackensack High School, but this confirms his connection to Hackensack by being buried within its borders since passing and forevermore.
