Louis D'Arminio is also known as Lee D'Arminio. Louis was a medic during World War II who landed on Omaha beach.
He fought through Europe and met his brother Carmen D'Arminio who was driving a tank during the battle of the Bulge.
Lee D'Arminio has another brother Angelo D'Arminio who he met at wars end in Niece, France.
Louis D'Arminio at the age of 84 years old handed Lee K. Crusius, his grandson a diploma on his graduation day
from the Coast Guard in 2006. According to his discharge papers, Lee D'Arminio was awarded the following:
Bronze Star Medal
, European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal,
Good Conduct Medal
, Purple Heart, Silver Star, World War II Victory Medal.
