Henri Neil Reichelt Henri Neil Reichelt, U.S.N.R., age twenty-four, was lost on November 14, 1942, when the U.S.S Juneau was sunk off the small island of Savo, near Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands. Henri enlisted in the Navy on January 16, 1942. After a brief period of basic training, he was assigned to the JUNEAU, a light cruiser, which sailed from Boston during the latter part of June to join the U.S Fleet in the Pacific. In July, the JUNEAU went into action and fought constantly until November 14,1942, when she was sunk by heavy enemy fire, and only ten men were saved. Henri was cited for gallantry and bravery under devastating enemy fire. This was the ship from which the five Sullivan brothers were lost.
