Harold Sobel a 1940 Hackensack High School graduate served in the United States Army and rose to the rank of Sergeant from 1942 to 1945 during World War II.  I spoke to his brother Herman Sobel who said that Harold was in combat in Europe and served with the 79th Infantry.
