Frederick Puglisi served in the Marines at the end of the Vietnam War and was stationed in Okinawa. He is now a retired Hackensack police officer. His father is Salvatore Puglisi, who served in World War II along with his three brothers, Phillip Puglisi, Thomas Puglisi, and Vincent Puglisi. Frederick is the godfather of Tom Terzano, who is currently an English teacher at Hackensack High School as of September 2009.
